Malibu’s Patented Antioxidant Technology: Making Water Well ®
You cleanse your hair and scalp to defend against harsh environmental factors, but minerals and oxidizers in the very water you use may be the biggest contributors to damage, color changes and texture problems with salon chemical services.
Minerals that can harm hair are charged positive(+) while oxidized proteins within hair are charged negative(-). Hot or warm water opens the outer layer of the hair shaft allowing minerals to get inside and attach to hair proteins like little magnets creating a wall of dissolved “rocks” on the hair and scalp.
The patented technology in Malibu Wellness Actives effectively reduces the charge of these harsh minerals weakening their hold and gently lifting them away.
When water elements are naturally removed in this way, they no longer contributes to oxidation. ?Your hair is truly clean (normalized) with color vibrancy, shine and texture beautifully restored.
DAILY: (or as often as desired)
- Wet hair with warm water and cleanse hair thoroughly with Malibu Well Water Action© Shampoo* then rinse thoroughly.
- Squeeze excess water from hair.
- Massage Malibu Well Water Action© Wellness Conditioner into hair and scalp.
- Allow to remain on hair for a few minutes. The longer the exposure time the better the results.
- Rinse with cool water.
*Malibu Well Water Action© Shampoo is also beneficial as a body wash to prevent minerals from drying skin.
WEEKLY: (or as often as desired)
- Wet hair with warm water and cleanse hair thoroughly with Malibu Well Water Action© ?Shampoo then rinse.
- Hold Hard Water Weekly Demineralizer Wellness Active packet upright and then ?tear open.
- Pour contents of Wellness Active packet evenly across wet palm.
- Add a small amount of water and rub hands together to dissolve crystals forming a rich, creamy lather.
- Massage throughout hair and scalp.
- The longer the exposure the better. (For deeper penetration, cover with processing/shower cap or towel, etc. and expose to heat or steam). *
- Rinse very thoroughly.
- Follow with Malibu Well Water Action© Wellness Conditioner and rinse with cool water.
*To remove discoloration or severe mineral build-up prior to using this kit, a Malibu MakeOver, the professional in-salon service using the Original Crystal Gel Normalizer, is recommended.

We have well water and although it is treated with a water softener, my hair still turns brassy and a little orange.
